5th Graders Recognized for Logo Design

The 5th grade students were recognized recently  by  Product Stewardship Institute for their effort in a logo design competition that took place during STEAM class with Mr. Wilkins.  The goal was for students to understand the powerful messages behind many of the logos we are used to seeing in our everyday lives and to create an original logo for the Trash Free Waters Program made possible through a grant by PSI.  The program has identified four business in the Village of Greenport that have made a pledge to off-set the amount of plastic that they generate in the community.  The winning logo will be displayed in the window and on menus of the participating business.
