Attention students in grades 9-12:

Ballots for homecoming  court have been emailed to you. Ballots for king and queen will go out later today.If you did not receive a ballot, see Mrs. Richter to get it.

Homecoming court will be announced at the dance on Thursday night. You must be present to win.

The Interact Club, Student Council, Model UN, and National Honor Society are sponsoring a drive to help the victims of hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. We will be collecting water, wet wipes, and diapers all this week and next. Please give whatever you can! Donations are being collected outside the District office in the main lobby! Thank you!

Model UN will be having its first meeting this Friday morning at 7:15 in room 303. Any questions please see Mr. Holt, Shannon Colfer, or Ella Watts.

Attention Acappella Members!  This is a reminder that Acappella practice will be Thursday after school starting at 3 pm sharp!  Get changed for any sports practices before you come to acappella!

Your favorite Shakespeare Club is starting Next week.  Sign up today after school.

Attention Seniors:

This is a reminder that if you want to participate in either/both of the upcoming field trips:

Thursday, October 12 – Mentor Breakfast at Peconic Landing.  8:15am – 10:30am.  Students will have an opportunity to network with residents from Peconic Landing as well as local business owners.  This is a great way to meet people in various industries that can you help later on in life.

Wednesday, October 18 – College Visit to LIU Post in Brookville, New York.  7am – 3pm.  Students will have an information session, college tour and lunch at LIU Post.

Please hand in the permission slips by Wednesday, October 4th.  If you need one, please pick it up in the guidance office.

Attention all middle school and high school students, the next meeting of the Greenport Math League is this Thursday morning at 7:15am in Room 212.  See Mrs. A with any questions.

Congratulations to the girls junior varsity volleyball team on their win against Stony Brook last night. After beating them in their first match earlier in the season, the Greenport Southold girls finished strong with a win in the tiebreaker game. The girls continue improve and look to carry this momentum against Mercy and Ross next week

Congratulations to the Boys Junior High Soccer team for their 6-0 victory over East Moriches yesterday.  Jose Ramirez scored 4 goals, Hugo Deleon Campos scored 1, and Christofer Rivas scored 1.  The defense and goalkeepers played very well again yesterday.  In 3 games this season, they have only given up 1 goal.  Great job guys.
