Greenport Schools is Hosting a Collegiate Baseball Game On Wednesday, July 11th

at 5:00pm on the Varsity Baseball Field

The North Fork Ospreys Vs. the Long Island Road Warriors

Events

  • 1:00 pm Players will arrive

  • 2:00 pm Baseball Clinic for all school age kids

  • 3:30 pm Players will get ready for the game

  • 5:00 pm Start of game

Benefits to the Community

  • Free family entertainment, there is no charge to attend a game.

  • Promotes baseball on the North Fork

  • Free clinics for local children.

  • Scouts, players’ families and friends, and baseball fans will attend games.

Long Island Road Warriors

Neal Heaton, former Major League Baseball (MLB) player is the manager of the Long Island Road Warriors.   Mr. Heaton, a Sachem High School alumnus and a second-round pick in the 1981 MLB draft, played 12 years in the majors for the Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Montreal Expos, Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers and the New York Yankees. Heaton has been an instructor at All Pro Sports Academy for more than a decade and worked with current MLB pitchers Marcus Stroman and Steven Matz.

 

North Fork Ospreys

Bill Ianniciello is the manager of the North Fork Ospreys.  Ianniciello, an assistant coach at Division II Adelphi University in New York, returns to the North Fork for his third season and hopes to guide the Ospreys to their second straight championship.
