Greenport Garden Update


Over the summer the garden has produced an abundance of vegetables which were tended to by parent volunteers, summer school classes and CAST (Community Action Southold Town).  With the help of our students and volunteers, the garden produced over 65 lbs. of tomatoes, beets, spinach, potatoes, cabbage, and herbs!
During STEAM class with Mr. Wilkins, students helped pick and sampled various types of grape tomatoes during the first week of school. Some of which were brought directly into our cafeteria for this weeks lunch menu!
Stay tuned, we have some watermelon on the way as well!
