Attention all students in grades 9 – 12:
The first, and VERY important, meeting of the GHS Student Council will be held tomorrow right after school in the high school library, room 307. All class officers for grades 9 – 12 are required to attend. All other interested students are welcome.
Our Homecoming dance is Thursday Sept 20th! Plans need to be made ASAP.
Attention Juniors and Seniors – if you have your permit and are interested in taking the fall driver’s ed session, registration paperwork is available in the HS office. Stop by and pick up your packet. Payment and registration forms need to be in by Friday, September 14th.
Attention Juniors… Your 1st class meeting has been switched to tomorrow at 2:45 in room 318. We will be taking nominees for your officers. If you can not attend, or have any questions/ concerns, please see Ms. Douglass.

Mrs. Nitti would love to see Greenport students come see the performances of Bring it On, the youth on stage musical for RFCT this weekend featuring several of Greenport students. Auditions for interested students in grades 7 to 12 will be held today at Southold High School after school for the combined drama, Clue on Stage which will be hosted at Southold this year. Audition information can be picked up in the HS office. If you need to ride the sports bus over to Southold today, please sign-up in the HS office by your lunch period.
This Friday, September 14th, is the first concessions stand of the season. You can earn money towards your senior expenses. Please sign up for a shift on Ms. Hopkins’ office door. Shifts start after school through after the game. See you Friday at The Shack.
Congratulations goes out to the girls varsity volleyball team for their four set League VIII victory over Babylon in their first ever League VIII matchup. The Lady Clippers won 25-18, 25-27, 25-19, 25-22. Liz Jernick served 5 aces, had 6 kills and 13 assists. Other notable performances were put in by Emily Russell with 8 kills and 6 blocks and defensive specialist Andrea Palencia recorded 15 digs.
