Reminder from Mrs. Dinizo, winter sports start in about a month.  If you are planning on playing one and need a physical, please sign up for one with her NOW in the Athletic Office.


The girls varsity volleyball team pulled off a thrilling come from behind victory last night against League VIII opponent Port Jeff.  After dropping the first two sets 20-25 and 22-25, the girls won the next three sets 25-10, 25-19 and 25-16 to win the 5 set match 3 sets to 2. Junior Liz Jernick started the rally in the third set by serving the last 13 points of set three and then serving the first 6 points of set four.  Liz accumulated 21 aces throughout the match and added in 19 assists. Other top performers were Courtney Cocheo with 13 digs, 8 kills; Jessica Mele with 15 digs and 4 kills and Emily Russell with 10 kills, 6 digs and 5 blocks. The girls are now 3-4 in League and will travel to Babylon this Friday.
