Xavier Kahn Named Rotary Student of the Month for March

Congratulations to Xavier Kahn on being named Rotary Student of the Month for March.  Xavier is a senior at Greenport High School.  This young entrepreneur who opened his own T-shirt company in 2018, possesses exceptional attributes which prove why he truly deserves this honor. Xavier is currently on the High Honor Roll with an unweighted GPA of 98.509. He has been a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society since 2017. Aside from his stellar achievements in academia, Xavier has an extensive list of extracurricular activities that he participates in. He is presently Senior Class President; has served as the Vice President of High School Interact since 2015; is the Chapter President AND two time regional award winner and State medal winner in D.E.C.A. since 2015; has been the school NATO Chairperson for the Model U.N. since 2016; and sits as the student council President since 2015. Throughout his high school years, Xavier has been a vital player of the Varsity Tennis, Varsity Soccer and Varsity Golf teams. He has led the two time league champion tennis team as the team captain and MVP, who has received All County, the Sportsmanship Award and the 5 Year Varsity Award. Xavier has been awarded with the Coach’s Award, the Academic All- County award and helped his soccer team lead as county champions. In addition to sports, Xavier has performed in many of the High School Drama Club’s plays since 2014 and qualified for the FIRST 2018 World Championship in the Team 870 Robotics club. In his downtime, Xavier volunteers as Chief Petty Officer in the NJROTC, is the organizer of the school’s biannual blood drives, and offers his services at the local public library. Xavier is expected to graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with a Mastery in Science and Mathematics. Right now he is undecided about his college career. Regardless, we are confident that Xavier will be successful in all of his future endeavors.
