Jessica Villareal Named Rotary Student of the Month for December

Congratulations to Jessica Villareal on being named Rotary Student of the Month for December. Jessica is the Battalian Commander of our NJROTC program. She is the 2nd cadet to have received that position in the past 20 years. She participates on approximately 5 drill teams as well as being a three season athlete. This year, as a senior, Jessica joined the Southold Cross Country team as an independent member. Besides that, she is a 2 – year member of our winter track team, and a 4-year member of our spring track team. She also participates in cheer leading, ballroom dancing, and the yearbook committee.

Community service is important with her as she has over 300 hours of community service. Outside of school and community service events, you can find her at Harbes Family Farm for the last two years. She has worked her way to supervisor managing a section of the farm.

Future plans will take her to college to study Veterinary Science aided by the National Marine Corps ROTC Scholarship. She intends to finish her college education with a goal to be commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps.
