Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Verbal and written correspondence/translating with parents.
  • Checks/confirms/records assignments
  • Assists students with staying focused and on task under the direction of the teacher
  • Takes the initiative to perform routine responsibilities independently
  • Assists as needed to facilitate school activities
  • Provides appropriate student supervision as directed by teacher/administration
  • Performs other specific job-related duties as directed by teacher/administration
  • Works with individuals and small groups of students on remedial and/or enrichment activities
  • Reinforces instructional objectives introduced by the teacher
  • Performs routine cleaning of computer equipment
  • Provides copying and laminating services. Processes job requests
  • Supervision of playground/Recess/lunchroom
  • Communicates playground and indoor recess rules
  • Responds to student requests for assistance (Avoids being intrusive/Solves concerns discreetly)
  • Confidentiality is extremely important.

Monday, December 14th, 2015 B Day

Congratulations to the December Rotary Student of the Month, Danielle Fauteux. She will be honored at Rotary Breakfast on Tuesday, December 22nd.

The Interact Club will be hosting a paint night on Friday December 18th from 7:30 to 9:30 in the small gym. Cost is $25 dollars and you get to keep your painting that you paint. Hot cocoa will be served, yummy desserts and some giveaways. Payment is due by Friday Open to ages high school and up!Please sign up with Mrs. DiGregorio, Lena Wolf, Zoe Medina, Angelina Pagano or Valentina Acero by Monday December 14th.

There will be a National Junior Honor Society Meeting on tomorrow at 7:20 am in the Elementary Library.  If you cannot make it please see Mrs. DaSilva in the Guidance office.

Everyone is welcomed to attend a Financial Aid Information Session on Wednesday, December 16th at 6 pm in the High School Library.  Mr. Tom Rabbitt, former Director of Guidance/Special Education and college representative for Sarah Lawrence College and Stonehill College will be sharing information about the process and updates.

Principal’s Roundtable 12/16

round_tableMr. Kalish invites all parents and guardians to his next principal’s roundtable on Wednesday, December 16th.  It will held at 12:30 PM in the High School Library.  Come with your questions, comments, and concerns.  Please note that is updated information, the date has changed from originally published in the calendar.

Paula Nickerson, our interim athletic director will be at the roundtable to meet parents.  Please stop up and introduce yourself to her.

Friday, December 11th, 2015 A Day

Drama club will be holding a Princess Movie Night today from 5 to 7 pm in the cafeteria. Drama club members are needed to help out.

Reminder to juniors and seniors…the first aid kit fundraisers are due today.  Please drop off your complete orders to Ms. Douglass, Mrs. Hopkins or Mrs. Kollen.  Thank you.

Thursday, December 10th, 2015 B DAY

Congratulations on a job well done to all of our musicians on the concerts presented this week.

Wednesday, December 9, 2015 A Day

This evening the Elementary will present their Holiday concert starting at 7 pm, all are welcome to attend

Get out your ugly Christmas sweater or ugliest Christmas socks or make some to wear on December 23. Prize awarded for the ugliest All are invited to participate, students & faculty.

Drama Club rehearsal today. Cast members needed are posted on bulletin board next to auditorium.

Please turn in your signed contracts, scripts are ready.
