Reminder that next Friday, Nov. 13th,  is picture retake day. Reminder that next Friday is picture retake day. If you missed the first go round last month or you would like to have your photo retaken, please stop by the HS office for a new order form. You will need to go for the retake during your lunch periods 4, 5, or 6.

Mrs. DiGregorio would like to thank you for support of the blood drive. This year we had 40 students register to donate, and 32 donated! That is awesome! Also, a great thanks to teachers to who donated as well! It is a great opportunity for us to give back! **Teachers if you did not get your free McDonald’s Coupon, Come see me 🙂 I will give you one!***

LI Blood Services complimented us on our students. There is a possibility of a Spring Drive, if time allows.

This is a reminder that the Southold High School Robotics Club will meet tonight, November 4th from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Tech Room 133. Please see Mrs. Gammon in room 220 if you cannot attend or with any questions.

Congratulations to the girl’s volleyball team for their five set victory over Port Jeff in the first round

of the County Class C Championships.  The Lady Clippers won 18-25, 25-21, 25-20, 12-25, 25-21.

The girls were lead by Gina Anasagasti who had 3 blocks, 4 kills, 4 Aces and 7 digs.  The girl’s play top seed Mattituck on Weds., Nov. 4, 2015.

Thursday, October 29th, 20915 B Day

There will be a Students Against Destructive Decisions meeting TODAY at 5:30 in rm 310.  All students in grades 9-12 are welcome.

Treat yourself this Halloween weekend by coming to view one of the performances of Shakespeare in Hollywood Thursday and Friday at 7 pm and Saturday at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. There will be a preview of the show this afternoon during 8th period.

The PTA  is looking for student volunteers to help this Saturday morning with their Halloween Parade. Please meet at 9 am  at the carousel. Come in Costume!

It’s 1934 and Shakespeare’s most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of showbiz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play, who else, themselves. Showtimes are Thursday and Friday at 7 pm and Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. There will be a preview on Thursday during 8th for grades 7 to 12 to attend. Adult tickets are $10 and student/seniors are $6.

North Fork Alliance’s One Voice will meet in elementary library at 2:45-4:00 today, all are welcome.

NJHS – National Junior Honor Society –  meeting Wednesday, October 28th @ 7:20 am

ATTENTION ALL PM BOCES STUDENTS – You have been excused from classes today to be able to attend the Homecoming Events. Information was faxed to your BOCES center.

Today concludes spirit week with the wearing of purple and gold. A prize will be awarded during the pep rally for the class with the most Spirit points this week.. Let’s end the week strong by showing our Porter Pride! Students in grades 9 to 12 will meet for your BBQ lunch with you class advisers. Students in grades 7 and 8 will join the activities in the auditorium 6th period. Please report to class for attendance and your teacher will escort you to the auditorium.


All who are marching in the parade today, need to meet on South Street next to the IGA starting at 4:45 pm for line up. The parade will kick off at 5:15 pm and proceed to the Athletic Fields. 7th and 8th graders Come march or ride in Homecoming Parade meet Mrs. Taylor at IGA at 4:45 with your bike, scooter, skateboard, or yourself.


Tickets are now on sale for Shakespeare in Hollywood, the Greenport/Southold Combined play hosted this year in Greenport. Performances are Thursday 10/29 and Friday 10/30 at 7 pm and Saturday, 10/31 at 2 pm. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $6 for Students and Senior Citizens.

Final call for winter sports physicals.  The doctor will be in sometime next week and there are still many of you who need a physical in order to play winter sports.  Please stop it to see Mrs. Dinizio and sign up now.
