8th Grade Field Trip to Oysterpond Shellfish, LI Maritime Museum and County Fair

8th graders enjoyed a fun filled day visiting Oysterpond Shellfish in Orient which is the Mastranglo oyster business.  The next stop was the LI Maritime Museum in Sayville, to learn about  life on LI in 1800’s. The group ended the day at Country Fair in Coram,  with go karts, bumper cars, an arcade,miniature golf and outdoor laser tag.  Many thanks to Mrs. Taylor for organizing the trip, the adults who chaperoned and Mrs. Mastranglo for taking the great photos!
 

7th Grade Field Trip to Farmingdale College Aviation Center and Boomers

7th graders enjoyed the day with a trip to Farmingdale College Aviation Center in  Farmingdale, NY.  They learned how an airport is run and students were  allowed in an airplane.  Then it was off to Boomers  Amusement Park in Medford, NY.  There were go karts, an arcade, miniature golf, rock climbing wall, and a train ride to entertain them.

 

Friday, April 20th, 2018 B Day

Southold Town Assessor’s Office is seeking a student for a paid internship.  The intern will be working Monday – Friday from 8am – 4pm from June 25 through August 31 on the Southold Town Property Records scanning project.  Please see flyer in the guidance office for more information.

Attention 10th and 11th grade students:  If you plan on attending BOCES next school year, you must return a BOCES Application to Mrs. Hopkins by Friday, April 27th.  If you need an application, please pick one up in the guidance office.


Attention Juniors:  Are you interested in the medical field?  The Summer Work experience at ELIH is a six-week program designed for students interested in pursuing a career in Healthcare.  Applications for the paid internship are in the guidance office. Hurry up…they are due tomorrow.
