and payment are due by June 12th.  A minimum of 12 registered students is needed in order for classes to be held this summer.


To all boys interested in playing JV or Varsity Soccer in the Fall.  There will be a brief informational meeting on Wednesday, June 12th during Advisory in Room 311 (Mr. D’s room).  


Any student scheduled for the following AP Classes for next year, please report to the following rooms:

Thursday, June 6th, 2019 A Day

Reminder to the cast members from School of Rock. Rehearsal TODAY immediately after school in the  small gym, unless the auditorium stage is clear of chairs. Teeny awards are this Sunday at Southold HS.  Report time is 12 noon for the run through, please bring your costumes and a change of clothes for the Red Carpet that starts at 1:30 pm.


Any student scheduled for AP Literature Course for 2019-2020 school year, learn more about the course curriculum, expectations assessments, and summer assignments this morning in room 213 with Mr. Conti.


Attention all girls in grades 8 – 11 who are interested in playing soccer next year.  Mr. Golden will be holding a meeting during Advisory on Wednesday, June 12.


The “All Senior PE class” will take place on Friday, June 7th 2nd period. All seniors are welcome.

Senior Tree Planting

The senior class, along with Greenport Mayor George Hubbard, Polly Dixon from the Village Tree Committee, Sylvia from Village Hall, Principal Kalish, advisors Lauren Kollen and Brandi Hopkins, planted a tree between the tennis courts and garden. Seniors buried their time capsule which they will dig up in June 2029.
Thank you to the Greenport Tree Committee for donating the beautiful tree.

Jake Mazzaferro Completes Internship at Peconic Landing

Congratulations to Jake Mazzaferro for successful completion of his internship in the Informational Technology Department at Peconic Landing. Jake has worked as an intern, learning about the field under his supervisor Joe Capuano for the second semester. We are very excited about this new partnership with Peconic Landing and grateful for their willingness to support our students to gain real-world experience.

Football strength and conditioning will be going on Tuesdays/ Thursday from 3:30- 5:00 pm for all football players that will be in the 7th grade-12th grade next school year..

Coach Hines, also will be allowing any other athlete that wants to join strength and conditions workouts for their upcoming sports can join as long as their coach says it’s ok to do so..

Peer Trainers Worked with 4th – 6th Graders

Anti-Defamation League Peer Trainers from Greenport School pushed into the 4th, 5th and 6th grade classrooms to teach lessons on respect.  Students learned about stereotypes and how to embrace each other without judgment.

The kids who went to the three day training at Mattituck pushed into 4th,5th and 6th grade classes last week and today.  They did lessons on respect

Tuesday, June 4th, 2019 A Day

Attention Middle School Chorus!  There is a combined rehearsal today during 4th period.  This is a mandatory rehearsal. Go to the auditorium 4th period for your final concert rehearsal.  


Attention Seniors in acappella and chorus!  Be at the concert at 6 pm tonight dressed and ready to perform!  There is a final practice in the auditorium before the concert!

Monday, June 3rd, 2019

Congratulations to the Acappella Group and Elementary Show Choir for their amazing performances at the Music is the Parks competition on Friday.  We won 1st place in the Acappella Performance category, as well as, Overall winners of all HS performing groups. The Elementary Show Choir won 1st place Show Choir, as well as, Over all winners of all elementary performing groups!  It was a huge success for Greenport and we are so proud of our hard working and talented music students! Our 4 trophies will be proudly displayed in the lobby this week for all to see!


Attention Senior Chorus and Acappella members.  There is a mandatory rehearsal with Mrs. Cabral during advisory today.  Please meet in her room.


Attention Acappella!  There will be a final rehearsal today after school from 3-4 pm.  Everyone must attend.


Congratulations also go out to to Melody Silie and Christina Tsaveras who performed vocal All-State auditions this weekend.


Attention Greenport Senior Athletes who are attending tonight’s Senior Athletic Dinner.

The dinner will take tonight at 6:00pm at the Townsend Manor Inn.  Please arrive with your family no later than 6:00pm. Dress appropriately.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Dinizio in the athletic department.

Friday, May 31, 2019 A day

There will be a brief preseason meeting for Volleyball on Tuesday, June 4th immediately after school in the big gym.  Anyone who cannot make it must see Coach Fioretti prior to the meeting.

Today is the last day for all students taking the Global History II Regents to attend a review session. If will be after school today in room 321 from from 2:45 to 4 pm.


All 8th grade students are to report directly to the cafeteria 1st thing Monday Morning for the written portion of the NYS Science Exam.

All Students taking the NYS Global History II Regents  are to report directly to the gym 1st thing Monday morning.

Both groups need to be prompt and bring the proper writing implements with you to complete the exam.


Early Morning breakfast will be held in the Home Ec room and Mrs. Ladalia’s 6th grade class will meet in the elementary library.

Attention Seniors:  Reminder your End of Year Expenses are due by May 31st and if you want to put an item in the time capsule; If you missed yesterday’s deadline, please see Mrs. Kollen or Mrs. Hopkins.  Any questions, please ask them.

Attention all students taking the Global History II Regents exam. The last review session tomorrow from 2:45 to 4pm in room 321. Please see Mr. Peterson with any questions or concerns.


This is a reminder that as finals and regents exams approach, Scholar Hour is still going on every Thursday morning in the Computer Lab
