Greenport/Southold Drama Clubs will be presenting the comedy/drama Clue this weekend Friday and Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 2pm. The show is hosted at Southold High School this year. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Adults are $10 and students and seniors $6.


Picture retake day will be Thursday, November 8th from 8:30 am to 1 pm. If you need an order form, please stop by the HS office.


Please consider taking part in Trunk or Treat on Thursday,November 1st from 4:00-5:30. The Greenport Interact Club is hosting this event but are in need of more participants. We believe it will be a fun event for all involved and all proceeds go to an amazing cause – our Veterans!! Please email me if you are interested in participating. Thank you in advance.

National honor society scholar hour continues this Thursday during advisory. If you need extra help or someone to study with and would like to attend, please see Mrs. Artukmac. Once again, scholar hour will be held in the computer lab every Thursday during advisory.   


Porter Gear is now on sale through 11/16 in the Athletic Office.  Mrs. Dinizio has catalogs to review. All orders guaranteed in time for the holidays.

Guidance Hosts Mini College Fair

On October 16th, the guidance office hosted its annual “Mini College Fair”.   Students in grades 11 through 12 had the opportunity to meet with several college representatives and military recruiters. Over 25 schools attended the fair including: SUNY Cortland, SUNY Potsdam, Suffolk Community, Marist, High Point University, and Manhattan College, to name a few. The US Army, Marine Corp. and Coast Guard Academy were in attendance as well. Students were able to speak one on one with the representatives of their choice, giving them an inside connection to their future.

Friday, October 19, 2018 A Day

Congratulations to Colin Rossetti who have been selected at the Rotary Student of the Month for October.

Attention all student in grades 7 to 12. Auditions for Newsies will be held next Tuesday after school in the auditorium.Varsity Sports players, Mrs. Nitti will be here at 2:45 pm to meet with you before you go to practice. Please clear it with your coach. Stop by and pick up the paperwork for auditions! Everyone needs to bring a comfortable pair of shoes to dance in. No boots.


Greenport/Southold Drama Club’s combined presentation of Clue next week on Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th at 7 pm and Sunday, October 28th  at 2 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students and will be available at the door.


Greenport will be holding blood drive on Wednesday, November 7th. You must be 16 years of age to donate. See Xavier or Johnathan for more details.

Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 A Day

National honor society scholar hour will begin tomorrow during advisory. If you need extra help or someone to study with and would like to attend, please see Mrs. Artukmac today. Scholar hour will be held in the computer lab every Thursday during advisory.


The following college will be in guidance today (Wednesday) at 11am:  University of New Haven; which is located in West Haven, Connecticut. The most popular majors are Security and Protective Services, Business/Marketing and Engineering.  If you would like to meet with this representative, please get a pass from guidance.


A special thank you to Charles Staples for representing the senior class at the board meeting last night. The trip was approved!! So now -if you are planning to attend the senior trip April 3-6, 2019 a deposit of $50 is due on Friday 10/19/18.  Any questions see your advisors.


Attention Juniors:  If you are interested in participating in Job Shadow Day, please return your permission slip to Ms. Hopkins, by October 18th.


The boys JV soccer team defeated Southold yesterday 9-2. The entire team played well. The season is the best JV season since 2005. It was capped of by our last goal scored by Anthony Kuczynski.  Now it time to watch Varsity in the playoffs.


There will be open basketball  tonight in the gym at 6 pm. All students 7th to 12th grade are welcome.


Congratulations to the JH girls field hockey team with their 2-0 win over Hamptons Bays.  Goals were scored by Ava Cocheo and Mae Dominey. Great job girls!

Monday, October 15th, 2108 A Day

Senior Class – if you are planning to attend the senior trip April 3-6, 2019 a deposit of $50 is due on Friday 10/19/18.  Along with that if you are planning on attending the trip, you must attend the board of education meeting on Tuesday, 10/16/18 at 6:50 pm.

All students interested in working on the 2019 HS yearbook should attend a meeting after-school on Tuesday, October 16th at 2:50 pm in room 306.  If you are interested, but cannot attend the meeting please email Mrs. Kollen or see her in the elementary office.

There will be a brief DECA Club meeting in room 303 right after school on Tuesday October 16. Remember to bring in your dues. Any questions ask either Mrs Hopkins or Mr Holt.


Science club will meet tomorrow right after school in Mrs. Baker’s room 312.


Attention National Honor Society members, there will be a meeting during lunch on Tuesday.
