ATTENTION JUNIORS!

Update on College Board Review Classes at GHS:

Tonight’s Critical Reading Review has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled and a new date announced tomorrow morning.

Additional review classes will be held during April and 1st week of May.


Seniors, the next few weeks are BIG WEEKS for the scholarship applications due. Please remember to get your paperwork into Mrs. Dacimo in the Guidance office.


Attention Acappella!  Rehearsal will be this Thursday at 5:30.  Make sure to bring your $20 deposit for Music in the Parks.  Also, there are a few of you who still have not handed in t-shirt money.  Be sure to bring $9 for your t-shirt if you have not done so already. See Mrs. Cabral personally if you have a conflict with Thursday.  


Reminder to all newly accepted honor society students, please return your form to Mrs.  Artukmac by Wednesday, April 10th.


Congratulations to the Greenport-Southold Boys and Girls Track teams on their hard fought win over Babylon on Monday.  Leading the girls team was Haley Skrezec and Courtney Cocheo, scoring in both the 100 and 200 along with Sydney Heidtman who scored in the 100 and 400 hurdles.  And Andrea Mena-Ochoa had a breakout day in the discuss, throwing a personal best 77 feet 8 1/2 inches, and taking first place. On the boys side Miguel Torres, Jackson Rung-Wile, & Kevin Azama led the charge against Babylon.  Kevin scored 10 points winning the triple jump and high jump and the 4×400 relay team featuring Miguel, Jackson along with Reese Costello and Christian Ardiano ran a blazing time of 3:45, winning their race. Congratulations to all of the members of the boys and girls teams.  Our next home meet for the girls is Wednesday against Center Moriches at 4:30 pm.


Model UN will be meeting this Friday morning at 7:15 in room 303. Be there to take a club photo for the yearbook.

Do you have loose change in your pocket? Do you have a collection of loose change at home? Want to do something good with that change? Both the Junior High and High school Interacts are collecting Pennies for Patients during advisory.

Pennies for Patients is a service learning program that helps raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fight blood cancer. Each advisory has a box in your room this morning. Please consider donating your loose change and help kids fight cancer. We will be collecting the boxes at the end of the week. Let’s see which advisory can collect the most!

Robotics Team 870 members are selling stars to defray the cost of their trip to Detroit  in a few weeks. Stars are $5 and can be purchased from any member.

Friday, April 5th from 5-9 pm Porters Football is hosting their annual Fish Fry at Townsend Manor! Cost of tickets is $19, please see Mr Martilotta for tickets.

Robotics team members are selling stars to defray the costs of our trip, the team will be selling stars for $5 each. Stars will be hung throughout the school to show support.
