Job Fair Held Feb 5th

February 5 a job fair was held here at school for students looking for summer employment.  Representatives from the following businesses: Splish Splash, Strongs Marine, Claudios, U.S. Census Bureau, Town of Southold Recreation, Shelter Island Recreation, Riverhead Building Supply, M & T Bank, Little Creek Oysters, Eastern LI Hospital, Shelter Island Beach Club, Green Hill Kitchen, Pool King, & Kate’s Cheese Shop attended.

Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 A Day

Congratulations to Jacob Kahn who has been selected as the Rotary Student of the Month for February.


Debate club will meet NEXT Tuesday, February 12th in room 211.

Monday, February 4th, 2019 B Day

Debate club will meet tomorrow, Tuesday, February 5th in room 211 immediately after school.

The Annual Soul Food Luncheon will be held tomorrow in the Conference Room. It is open to all faculty and staff and students in HS, but you must bring something for all to share. Please see Mrs. Edwards with any questions.

In conjunction with the Southold Town, Greenport High School will be hosting a job fair on Tuesday, February 5th from 10:30 to 12pm in the cafeteria.  Students who are interested in summer jobs as well as internships are encouraged to attend. We are expected to have approximately 15 local businesses who are hiring for several different types of jobs.

Grade levels will be called down to the cafeteria starting at 10:30 for the 12th and 11th grade students and 10:50am for the 10th and 9th grade students.

Congratulations to the Southold-Greenport boys 4×200 track squad for setting a new school record at the county indoor track championships yesterday.  The team, led by senior Miguel Torres and junior Jackson Wile finished in a time of 1 minute and 41.3 seconds, beating the old school record by 2 tenths of a second, beating out West Babylon, Bayport Blue Point and Southampton. Great job boys!!!

In conjunction with the Southold Town, Greenport High School will be hosting a job fair on Tuesday, February 5th from 10:30 to 12 pm in the cafeteria.  Students who are interested in summer jobs as well as internships are encouraged to attend. We are expected to have approximately 15 local businesses who are hiring for several different types of jobs.

There will be a varsity and junior varsity girls softball meeting this Friday at 2:45pm in Mr. Golden’s classroom, room number 322.

Any player interested in playing softball in the spring will need to attend this meeting.  There is a new varsity softball coach this year who wants to meet the players.

Congratulations on 2 great wins last night for Greenport wrestlers David Jenkins and Malachi Bousseau. Against Division 2 Nassau County dual meet champions, Seaford, both wrestlers won by pin over their opponents.


This morning during advisory the final few teams will compete for the first annual Greenport Golden Award! Any Advisory is welcome to come on down and see who takes the title!!!

>Instant foods (Hormel Compleats meals/Ramen/ etc)

>Lip Balm / Hand Cream

>Toothpaste / toothbrushes

>Granola bars / small cans of Pringles chips

> Dryer sheets

> Disposable razors

Collection drop-off can be found in the main lobby
