1 –  Attention all students in grades 9 – 12:  GHS Student Council is hosting the 2016 Homecoming Dance Thursday, September 29th.  Tickets go on sale today from Student Council officers – Madison Tabor, Toni Esposito, Angie Pagano and Katie Tuthill or Mrs. Richter.  Pre-sale tickets are only $10.  The dance will be held in the small gym from 7 – 9:30 PM.  The Homecoming Court will be announced.  You must be present to win!  See Mrs. Richter with questions.


2 – Attention all students in grades 9 – 12:  Ballots for your class homecoming court will be sent to your school email address later today.  You must vote via your email to make your vote count.  Court ballots must be received by Tuesday, Sept 20th at 9 PM.  Homecoming King and Queen ballots will be sent Tuesday night and are due Wednesday night at 9 PM.  See Mrs. Richter with questions.


3 – Attention all students in grades 9 – 12:  The next Student Council meeting is Tuesday, Sept 20th at 5:30 PM in the HS library.  All class officers are required to attend, all other students are welcome.  See Mrs. Richter with questions and conflicts.

Southold Robotics Team will meet on tonight 7 to 8:15 pm for those of you who signed up the other day. You should have received an email from the club president.


The registration deadline for Fall Driver’s Ed is this Wednesday. Spots are still available. Signup is in the business office, please see Mr. Davies with any questions.


Attention all middle school and HS chorus members!  If you have chorus today, please be sure to bring work to do or a book to read!  Once again bring a book or some work to do in chorus today!  


Drama Club meeting today after school in the HS library. It is open to all interested students in grades 7 to 12. If you can not make the meeting , but would like to be involved and updated on activities, please stop by the HS office to sign up and leave contact information.

Southold College Tour Announcement

Southold High School has extended an invitation to our 11th grade students to participate in an overnight college tour.  The purpose of this college tour is primarily for students to gain an understanding of the different types of colleges and environments that are available.
The College Tour will take place on Thursday, October 20th through Friday October 21st.  Students will be visiting the University of Rhode Island, Salve Regina University, Johnson & Wales University, Providence College and Brown University in Rhode Island.  The cost of the trip is $250 (payable to Southold UFSD) which is due to Mrs. Hopkins by 9/28.  For more information and paperwork, please contact Mrs. Hopkins in the guidance office.
