Congratulations to Greenport’s chefs Richard Galicia, Walfred Gatica, Antonio Coria, Antonio Anderson, Leo Torres and Angel Hernandez on winning second place at the Junior Iron Chef competition on Saturday.

Attention 10th and 11th grade students:  If you plan on attending BOCES next year, please pick up an application from Mrs. Hopkins….applications are due by March 24th.

Attention Juniors:  Are you interested in a career in healthcare?  The Eastern Long Island  Hospital Summer Work Experience is back for this summer.  It is a 6 week program designed for students interested in pursuing a Healthcare Career.  This is a paid internship.  If you would like to apply for the program, please pick up an application in the guidance office.

A set of keys on a lanyard and a charging adapter were found in the computer lab last week by Mrs. Richter. If you left them behind and can identify them. please stop by the HS office.

This evening will be our Music in Our Schools Concert. All are welcome to attend. All performers will be given information from Mrs. Cabral and Mrs. Goodland on where to meet tonight.

Reminder that the Greenport School Garden is sponsoring the Soup Bowl this Sunday, March 13th from 12 noon to 3 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Come enjoy the delicious soups from local restaurants.

Attention all DECA students.  Your field trip permission forms are due TODAY! Please give your permission slip to one of the DECA Officers or drop it off in the guidance office if you have not already done so.

Reminder that the Greenport School Garden is sponsoring the Soup Bowl this Sunday, March 13th from 12 noon to 3 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Come enjoy the delicious soups from local restaurants.

The junior high wrestling team went against a tough Westhampton team yesterday. Donovan Sanchez, Jackson Rung- Wile and Malachi Boisseau all won one match and Drew Wolf won both his matches.

Playing at Will is pleased to announce that today will be very special. At 2:45 in the small gym, there will be games, combat, laughter, and the world’s largest gathering of Playing at Will Players. Come see the fun. Ask Mr Tramontana about it

The cast and crew of Oliver! would “Would do Anything” for you to join us at our 7 pm performance tonight or tomorrow afternoon at 3 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students under 12 and will available at the door. Come support your classmates!

There will be a National Junior Honor Society meeting Friday, March 4th at 7:20 am in the elementary Library.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. DaSilva in the guidance office.

Mr. Taylor would like to congratulate Sanchez on his first win yesterday a second period pin and Malachi Boisseau on his first two  win. Everyone wrestled hard.


There will be a meeting for all girls interested in playing junior varsity or varsity softball on Thursday at 3:15 pm in the Southold HS gym. There will be a shuttle bus available after school and will return to Greenport after the meeting.


The school doctor will be here on March 3rd from 11 a.m. until noon.  Now is your final chance to sign up for a physical if you plan on playing a sport in the Spring.  Please sign up with Mrs. Dinizio in the HS office.
