High School Students Learn CPR

Over 350 Greenport USFD Students in grades 7th through 12th were taught both Hands Only CPR and how to use an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) by the Southold Fire Department-American Heart Association Training Center.  The students were trained during their Physical Education Classes and the event was a huge success.  Chris Manfredi and Roland Grant both instructed the students along with the help of Michelle Salmon and Greenport alum Jeff Corazzini.  Special thanks to the Physical Education Department; Andrea Manfredi, Luis Morales and Cindy Sepenoski for allowing us to use their class times and for assisting us with the training.
Governor Cuomo signed a bill into law Oct 2015 mandating the Hands Only Training / AED Use in schools.
Thanks
