Greenport Alumni Forum

Recent Greenport graduates returned to speak to high school seniors about their experiences after graduating from Greenport. Students were able to listen to real experiences, ask questions and hear valuable advice.

Thursday, January 12th, 2017 – B Day

Reminder to 10th graders who want to attend the BOCES Visitor’s Day, permission slips are due to Mrs. Hopkins by Friday.


7th and 8th graders please turn in raffle ticket and class trip money to Mrs. Taylor in her office.


GHS Model UN is a new extra-curricular club forming. Mr. Holt is the adviser. 1st meeting will be Friday, January 27th in room 301. Please see Mr. Holt with any questions.


There is a meeting on today at 3 pm in the big gym with Coach Lou for girls in grades 7 and 8 who are interested in playing basketball. Please see Coach Lou in the elementary office with any questions for if you can not make the meeting.


HS Drama club rehearsal will be meeting today in room 111. Full cast is needed.


The late winter JHS season will start on Monday, January 23rd. If you are interested in participating in JH girl’s basketball or JHS boy’s wrestling, please stop by the athletic office and see Mrs. Dinizio for a new athletic contract. Thank you.

Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 A Day

ATTN Juniors and Seniors:Tomorrow a representative from Josten’s will be here to take ring orders. Extra information packets are available in the HS office. Please meet with him during your lunch period.

Tuesday, January 11th, 2017 B Day

Mr. Kalish would like to remind all students that when you leave campus to walk to the downtown area that you walk on the sidewalks to and from school, cross at the crosswalk in front of the school with the crossing guard, and refrain from jumping into the line of traffic in the middle of the road. We have had reports of students being unsafe in their walks to and from the Village.

Monday, January 9th, 2017 A Day

The elementary drama club students will be presenting Annie Jr in the auditorium, tomorrow January 10th at 1:15 pm and again on Wednesday, January 11th, 2107 at 7 pm. All are welcome to attend. 


A representative from the US Navy will be in guidance today at 9am.  If you would like to meet with the representative, please get a pass from guidance.


Attention seniors going on the senior trip…please stop by the guidance office to make a photocopy of your Government Issued ID.

There will be a brief meeting on Monday 9 January for all interested in Jr. High wrestling at 3 PM in Mr. Taylor’s room 314. Give wrestling a try, it’s a lot of fun.

Congratulations to the following Elementary students who will be participating in the All County Chorus: Aleyna Gungor, Peter Gwiazda, Melizza Mena Ochoa, Ayania Smith and Jordan Sosa.  Also congratulations to Tehreem Qamar who will be playing flute in the All County Band.

Today we will be operating on the 2 hour delay schedule. The schedule is posted outside the HS office and should also be posted in your classrooms.
